A lot of adventure activities can be done here like birding, trekking, hiking, camping and photography. The mesmerising Pushpawati River which is made out of PimpalgaonJoga Dam is haven for migratory birds like pink flamingo, Alpine Swift, Whistling Thrush, Quail, Purple Moorhen and Pied Crested. Your camera will be definitely at work here. It's a small paradise for bird watchers. You can go trekking up to Harishchandragad Fort. The monument dates back to 6th century! Explore the Buddhist caves situated close to the Harishchandragad Fort. Go rock climbing at Ajoba Hill fort and see the stunning lush green landscapes. Enjoy the enchanting waterfalls on the way to MalshejGhat. If the time allows, you can visit the Shivneri Fort, located about 40 kilometres from MalshejGhat. This 17th century fort is the birthplace of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of Maratha Empire.
There are many paths to explore, you can chose any or not chose to explore at all and unwind at our farm itself.
Our Estate Manager / Staff would be more than happy to give you a guided tour of the farm and explain the ethos of the organic farming and the indigenous farming practices we follow. You can learn a little about vermiculture, rainwater harvesting and other related methods we deploy to keep the farm going.
A beginners hike to the near by Kalu river crossing the Lakudpada village or a tril to the near by Fishing Reservoir is recommended. If you are the adventurous kind then various treks to Ajoba Hills and Malshej are quiet popular. We can arrange for a local guide to take you.
The farm and it’s surroundings are home to over 100 species of birds. Early morning nature treks in your favourite pair of camos, hiking shoes with a pair of binoculars are sure to leave you gasping in awe of these beautiful creatures.
Tucked away in the valley of the Malshej Ghats and keeping to maintain the ecological balance in mind the tastefully designed rooms offer a great retreat and have been built with a very minimum footprint.
Restaurant
The in-house restaurant serves local Indian Cuisine and practices the ‘Farm to Table ‘concept. Most vegetables and dishes are derived from the fresh produce and you can taste the difference. The restaurant offers a cosy seating overlooking the lotus pond and is attached to the game room to get you to build on the appetite.
Library Lounge
The ‘Library Lounge’ is a place to relax and unwind. It’s equipped with a collection of books, and the walls are adorned with tales about the local tribes. A choice of good book with some hot tea will surely keep you charged up.
Bonfire
Should you so desire and weather permitting, we can organise a bonfire. Along with a barbecue serving succulent kababs with tangy sauces to keep the conversation going.
